Abstract
The ring-shaped Hartmann potential V = eta sigma(2) epsilon(0)(2a0/r - eta a02/r2sin2 theta) was introduced in quantum chemistry to describe ring-shaped molecules like benzene. In this article, fundamental conc epts of supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM) are discussed. The e nergy eigenvalues and (radial) eigenfunctions of the Hartmann potentia l are subsequently rederived using the techniques of SUSYQM. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
