Abstract
Stump pemphigoid is a localized variant of bullous pemphigoid characte rized by specific clinical, pathological, and immunofluorescent charac teristics, The early diagnosis of this entity guides treatment toward this specific immunologically mediated inflammatory process and away f rom treatment of unrelated conditions with similar clinical findings.
