Abstract
A square array of zirconium(IV) and iron(II) ions bound to a polyoxo m atrix is achieved in the metallation of calix[4]resorcinarene (R = C6H 13, H) using [Zr(eta-C5H5)(2)Me(2)] and [Fe(phen)(mes)(2)], respective ly.
