Abstract
The potent protein phosphatase inhibitor calyculin A is formally synth esized via construction of the C(9)-C(37) fragment 2 by a Wittig react ion of the C(9)-C(25) spiroketal fragment with the C(26)-C(37) phospho nium salt.
