A NOVEL PROCEDURE FOR CUTLINE DETECTION

The paper presents a new procedure to detect cutlines in the phases of interferometric SAR (InSAR) images. For noisefree images the algorith m is capable of almost completely detecting any cutline - if there is noise present at least large portions of the cutlines are identified. For this it checks all endpoints for lying on a cutline. If an endpoin t lies on a cutline, the procedure will detect and track the cutline. Endpoints caused by noise are identified by the length of the correspo nding cutline and can be eliminated. The paper outlines the basic idea s and presents first results.
