I. Higginson et al., THE USE OF HIGH-DOSES OF ADRENALINE IN PEDIATRIC CARDIAC RESUSCITATION, Journal of paediatrics and child health, 32(1), 1996, pp. 1-3
Adrenaline has been used in cardiac resuscitation for many years, yet
until recently its mechanism of action and optimal dosage remained poo
rly investigated or understood. Recent guidelines suggest the use of h
igher doses of adrenaline at an early stage in paediatric resuscitatio
n. This paper examines the use of adrenaline in paediatric resuscitati
on and studies the arguments in favour of using higher doses than prev
iously accepted.
