SULFUR-CONTAINING PLASMA TREATMENT FOR THE INTRODUCTION OF THIOL-GROUPS ONTO POLYETHYLENE SURFACES

We propose a novel method of introducing thiol groups onto polymer sur faces of e.g. polyethylene by plasma treatment with sulfur-containing organic compounds. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analyses of the p lasma treated surfaces are presented.
