Abstract
New technique to prepare finely dispersed metallic species in a zeolit ic framework has been developed by a high frequency-ultrasonic (HFUS) irradiation. The parent Pd ions in the zeolite were reduced with isopr opyl alcohol into carbon containing Pd metal during the irradiation. T hese species was observed by EXAFS analysis to be highly dispersed int o small clusters consisted of less than several atoms in zeolitic crys tal.
