Gb. Okonishnikov et Pa. Pavlov, LIMITING SUPERHEATING OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING LIQUIDS - HOMOGENEOUS AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS, High temperature, 34(2), 1996, pp. 249-254
Limiting superheating and the initial stage of boiling of aqueous solu
tions of H2SO4, HCl, KCl, NaCl, and KOH under atmospheric pressure wer
e investigated by the method involving pulse Joule heating of a jet. T
he main characteristics are given of the experimental setup, photograp
hs of the jet at the moment of boiling of liquid, and the concentratio
n dependences of the temperature of limiting superheating of the solut
ions being investigated. The experimental results are compared with th
e estimates based on the data on the critical points of these solution
s. The value of temperature of limiting superheating of water during u
niform bulk heating was derived by extrapolation to zero temperature.
