Abstract
In this paper we discuss the parallel implementation of time dependent Rayleigh-Benard convection. Implementation was mainly done on a Cray T3D and various parallel models were considered to assess their speed and scalability. One of the implementations, a message passing model u sing PVM, is portable to other distributed memory parallel systems. Ti ming results for the different models are given and to some extent ana lyzed.
