Dd. Muehrcke et al., RECURRENT CEREBRAL VASCULAR ACCIDENTS ARE AN INDICATION FOR ASCENDINGAORTIC ENDARTERECTOMY, The Annals of thoracic surgery, 61(5), 1996, pp. 1516-1518

s associated with recurrent cerebral vascular accidents. We recommend
that endarterectomy be considered for patients with recurrent cerebral
vascular accidents associated with severe atherosclerosis of the asce
nding aorta when no other cause is found to explain the symptoms.
