Abstract
We present a patient with severe pedunculated ascending atherosclerosi s associated with recurrent cerebral vascular accidents. We recommend that endarterectomy be considered for patients with recurrent cerebral vascular accidents associated with severe atherosclerosis of the asce nding aorta when no other cause is found to explain the symptoms.
