Excitation functions for the production of Tb-153, Tb-155, (156(m1+m2g))Tb, (158(m+g))Tb, Tb-160 and Tb-161 by (alpha,pxn) reactions were d
etermined experimentally. The method of activation of metallic foils w
as employed. The irradiations were performed in the external beam of t
he isochronous cyclotron at Karlsruhe (Germany) with alpha-particles u
p to 85 MeV. Gamma-spectrometry by means of an N-Type intrinsic coaxia
l Ge detector was used to determine the reaction products. The data ar
e compared with theoretical predictions provided by equilibrium and pr
e-equilibrium reaction model.
