Abstract
Measurements of dielectric properties of pure PVC powder and mixtures of PVC powder with copper and magnesium as impurities varying from one to five per cent by weight have been made at a frequency of 9.67 GHz at room temperature. These measurements show an interesting behaviour of mixtures of powders with variation of metal impurities. The results indicate that such measurements may be useful for estimating qualitat ively and quantitatively the percentage of metal in the natural minera l rocks.
