A toy model of strongly correlated fermions is studied using Green fun
ction and functional integration methods. The model exhibits a metal-i
nsulator transition as the interaction is varied. In the case of unres
tricted hopping an equivalence of the model with the Hubbard model wit
h infinite range hopping is established. The generalization to the cas
e with N components is made.
