Abstract
Recent studies suggest physical and functional interactions of glycosy lphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked proteins (CD14, CD16b and CD87) wit h leukocyte beta(2) integrins. As discussed in this article, it now ap pears that beta(2) integrins relay proinflammatory information from GP I-anchored membrane receptors to the cytoplasm via exodomain interacti ons.
