Dioxadet belongs to antitumor preparations from the group of ethylenim
inotriazines. In experimental studies performed with the use of wide s
pectrum of transplanted turners it revealed considerable resorptive an
d contact activity. Dose-limiting side-effect of dioxadet manifests it
self in the inhibition of haemopoiesis and is sufficiently reversible.
Dioxadet possess no cardio-, pneumo- and nephrotoxicity. The preparat
ion is notable for advantageous hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance, this
allows it application both for systemic and intracavitary chemotherapy
in aqueous solutions and for endolymphatic infusion and chemoemboliza
tion by its oil radiopague solutions.
