Abstract
We describe the complement system of three CLL patients who developed autoimmune complications in the course of their disease. The complemen t profile was pathological in both CLL patients with active autoimmune diseases, while it showed no deficiency in the patient with quiescent autoimmunity. The complement profile could be an early marker for dev elopment of autoimmunity in CLL patients.
