Fathers' experiences during their transition to parenthood have been l
ess well documented than those of mothers. This study explored the per
ceptions of three groups of fathers: fathers were asked to complete a
questionnaire revering their experiences during their partner's pregna
ncy, during antenatal preparation programs or during birth. Fathers in
all three groups were asked to respond to a follow-up questionnaire a
bout parenthood. Their views are reported.
