Abstract
Three new glucosidic constituents (1-3) were isolated from the methano
lic extract of Perilla frutescens. Two of these compounds (1 and 2) we
re jasmonoid glucosides and were determined to be 5'-beta-D-glucopyran
osyloxyjasmonic acid and 3-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-3-epi-2-isoducurbic a
cid, respectively. The other one (3) was a new glucoside of phenylvale
ric acid that was elucidated to be 3-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-5-phenyl
valeric acid. Its aglycone was also found for the first time in nature
.
