Abstract
The paper deals with the computation of residual and transient stresse s in a tempered glass plate. The modelling takes into account the visc oelastic behavior and the structural relaxation of glass. The evolutio n of stresses with time during the rapid cooling is computed. Simulati on results are compared with experimental ones from the literature ava ilable. Levels of transient tensile stress in the surface are analysed .
