Abstract
New results of Zr diffusion in alpha-Ti with different Fe concentratio ns are presented. The effect of ultrafast impurity contentsj on substi tutional diffusion in alpha-Ti is compared with the behaviour observed in alpha-Zr. The models developed to explain alpha-Zr self-diffusion are analyzed in order to discuss their application to substitutional d iffusion in alpha-Ti.
