A method of levitation melting of metal in liquid slag with controlled
gas phase (p(Ar)=0.5 MPa) was applied Lbr study of kinetics and attai
nment of equilibrium of P and Cr transition from Fe-C(0.4-6.5 wt.%)-Cr
(13-65 wt.%)-P(0.03-0.07 wt.%) melts to slags of NaF-CaO-CaF2-BaO-BaCl
2-BaF2-Cr2O3 systems at 1470-1670 degrees C. Parameters of these proce
sses were determined as the functions log (C-PO43-, gamma(PO2.5)) = f(
N-BaO), log C-PO43- = f(Lambda); log (C-Cr3+, gamma(Cr2O3)) = f(N-BaO)
, along with coefficients of mass transfer of phosphorus in metal and
slag.
