Abstract
The Al - Zn - Al2Pr phase diagram is constructed with the use of X-ray diffractometry, differential thermal analysis. and metallography. New ternary PrAl2Zn2 compound is found in the system. The Zn - PrAl2Zn2, PrAl2Zn2 - Al, PrAl2Zn2 -AlPr and PrAl2Zn2 - Al4Pr polythermal section s are constructed. The coordinates of nonvariant transformations are e stablished and the projection of the liquidus surface of the Al - Zn - Al2Pr system is constructed.
