Abstract
This paper presents a project that started in 1988, at EDP SA, with th e aim to develop and fully use an intelligent tool for power systems i ncident analysis and maintenance management called SAS. It describes t he main SAS functionalities already in operation and gives a special a ttention to introduce the knowledge based approach that was adopted na mely to perform a real time incident analysis.
