Twenty-six maxillary sinuses (of 20 patients) were studied following C
aldwell-Luc procedures. Surgery had been performed between 1 to 27 yea
rs previously. Follow-up studies included nasal endoscopy, coronal com
puted tomography and camera-sequence scintigraphy. Findings demonstrat
ed that normalization of disturbed mucosal function was possible after
surgery, Indications for revision endoscopic sinus surgery are discus
sed, as are the limitations of surgery.
