Abstract
Fluorescence spectra of strontium sulphide phosphors activated by thre e activators viz. Mn, Cu, and Gd individually and in different combina tions have been discussed at length. X-ray is used as excitation sourc e. Probable inferences are drawn regarding energy transfer phenomenon. The two channels for transfer of energy are concluded in present phos phor series. A model is also proposed.
