Abstract
We show that the dimension of any component of the Hilbert scheme of s pace curves (of degree d) is bounded below by 4d. We find components w here the general point represents a nonlocally Cohen-Macaulay curve wh ich is not a disjoint union of a locally Cohen-Macaulay curve and a ze ro dimensional scheme.
