Abstract
FTIR spectra of CH3 CH2 Br and CD3CH2Br are presented, and are compare d with computed spectra using the HYPER CHEM program. An accidental ne ar-equality of two moments of inertia may suggest the appearance of a symmetry that is inconsistent with the actual molecular structure.
