Abstract
The Command and Data Handling System of the Midcourse Space Experiment provides spacecraft control and data collection, formatting, and onbo ard storage. It has embedded encryptors and decryptors to ensure commu nication security during the mission. The Command and Data Handling Sy stem also maintains onboard time and performs autonomy rule checking o f housekeeping data for fault protection.
