Abstract
Effect of raw mustard-meal incorporation was studied on Angora rabbits (18). They were allotted to 3 groups of 6 each and were fed 3 whole d iets containing deoiled groundnut-meal, deoiled mustard-meal and ammon iated deoiled mustard-meal as major protein source. After 18 weeks or feeding, rabbits were sacrificed and subjected to blood biochemical an d histopathological studies. The treatment gn,ups (3) did nor show any significant changes in the blood biochemical profile and tissue chang es. The average values in different treatment groups for various param eters remained within normal limits. It was concluded that raw mustard -meal incorporation had no adverse effect and ammoniation did not yiel d extra advantage.
