Ma. Vanniersantos et al., POLYMORPHONUCLEAR LEUKOCYTES PRESENT LAMININ PEPTIDES IN ENDOCYTIC COMPARTMENTS, Biochemical and biophysical research communications, 221(3), 1996, pp. 837-842
Rat and Human neutrophils presented cytoplasmic vacuoles immunoreactiv
e for laminin at the electron microscopy level. Colocalization of the
anti-laminin labeling with albumin-gold complexes and alkaline phospha
tase activity in rat PMN suggest an endocytic nature for this compartm
ent. Immunoblot analysis of human normal peripheral blood neutrophils
revealed the presence of two laminin peptides around 100 kDa. (C) 1996
