Abstract
The following policy statement is a revision of the American Academy o f Pediatrics' 1985 statement entitled ''School Bus Safety.'' It provid es updated information regarding relevant federal regulations and outl ines recommendations that can enhance community systems for addressing school bus safety education, awareness, and practices. Pediatricians can assist in this process by sharing these recommendations at both th e community and state levels.
