Abstract
X-ray novae undergo spectral transitions during their eruption caused by the decreasing accretion rate onto a black hole. We propose a new m odel of an accretion disk with a corona which explains the nature of t hese transitions. The model is uniquely parameterized by the mass of t he black hole, temporary accretion rate and the viscosity parameter al pha.
