METASTATIC MEDIASTINAL LYMPH-NODES IN A S KIN BASOCELLULAR CARCINOMA

Skin basocellular carcinoma is very frequent, and does not usually cau se distant metastasis. However, a few cases of distal lymph node, pulm onary, bone metastasis have been described in the literature. In the p resent case, we report a basocellular mediastinal lymph node metastasi s. Some precise histological characteristics described by Lattses must be present to admit authenticity of these metastasis. The treatment o f such cases is based on surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy contai ning cisplatinum. However, the overall prognosis of these metastases r emains poor.
