Abstract
The gamma-ray emission spectra between 4 and 20 MeV have been measured for the fusion-fission reactions Ne-20 on Bi-209 --> Np-229 at beam energies 150, 186 and 220 MeV. In addition for the latter experiment t he angular dependence of the gamma-ray emission with respect to the sp in axis has been measured. From. fits to the measured gamma-ray yields , a dynamical fission life times of 4 +/- 1, 1.0 +/- 0.5 and 2 +/- 1 x 10(-19) seconds were obtained for the three beam energies respectivel y.
