DIFFUSION FOUNDATIONS OF THE NITRIDING PROCESS

Many problems of chemicothermal treatment (CTT) of metals have been co nsidered and discussed for the first time on the pages of MSHT, whose fortieth anniversary we are celebrating. I happened to be among the or ganizers of this journal, which is respected by all specialists. I am glad to congratulate my colleagues on the anniversary and present to t hem an article where I analyze the development of the problem of one o f the main CTT processes - nitriding.
