Abstract
In some cases the delta-ferrite inherited from ingots is present in th e hot-deformed metal of corrosion-resistant maraging steels. The resid ual delta-ferrite exerts a negative effect on the technological and op erating characteristics of the metal. The present work presents result s on transformations of delta-ferrite and variations of the properties of steels in quenching by different regimes. Recommendation on heat t reatment of steels containing delta-ferrite are presented.
