Abstract
A supplementary detailed discussion of the small-amplitude breathers w ithin the nonlinear extension of our original paper [Phys. Lett. A 192 (1994) 239] of the Volkov-Kosevich DNA model is presented as a respon se to the critical remarks of Lisy and Miskovsky [Phys. Lett. A 213 (1 996) 308].
