M. Mostafavi et B. Agnew, THE IMPACT OF AMBIENT-TEMPERATURE ON LITHIUM-BROMIDE WATER ABSORPTIONMACHINE PERFORMANCE/, Applied thermal engineering, 16(6), 1996, pp. 515-522
During this decade, primarily due to escalating energy costs and envir
onmental aspects, cogeneration has become popular. Absorption heat rec
overy offers an excellent alternative to utilising what previously amo
unted to waste heat. In this study the influence of ambient temperatur
e on the generator temperature, concentration of strong solution, flow
ratio of the solution and on the evaporator temperature attainable fo
r air-conditioning purposes of a lithium bromide/water absorption unit
has been investigated. It has been shown that an increase in the ambi
ent temperature causes an increase in the generator temperature. Final
ly, the effect of flow ratio on the generator temperature has been giv
