Abstract
Social science research on cyberspace should concentrate on theory dev elopment, a national baseline survey of current networking practices, ethnographic case studies of businesses and other networked organizati ons, the implications of the National Information Infrastructure and m ultimedia technology for education, and policy options for mitigating socioeconomic and other inequalities that new communication and inform ation technologies exacerbate.
