Aj. Delucca et al., N-ACETYLCYSTEINE INHIBITS GERMINATION OF CONIDIA AND GROWTH OF ASPERGILLUS SPP AND FUSARIUM SPP, Antimicrobial agents and chemotherapy, 40(5), 1996, pp. 1274-1276
N-Acetylcysteine inhibited hyphal growth and germination of conidia of
Aspergillus spp. and Fusarium spp. N-Acetylcysteine inhibited conidia
l germination as well as or better than L-cysteine. Cysteine-related c
ompounds may provide a potential therapeutic strategy against agricult
urally and medically important fungal pathogens.
