Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853 was exposed to tobramycin concentrat ion-time profiles modelling in vivo bolus and infusion dosing, Depende nce of bactericidal and bacteriostatic activity on the initial profile of peak concentration (bolus effect > infusion) and area under the an tibiotic concentration-time curve was observed at peak concentration/M IC ratios of 10 or below.
