Abstract
The single-spin-flip Metropolis algorithm is applied to an Ising ferro magnet with mixed spins of S = 1/2 and S = 1 on the square lattice. Th e critical temperature obtained from our Monte Carlo simulation is ver y close to the high temperature series expansion result. The finite si ze scaling results for the exponents yield the two dimensional Ising v alues, which are in good agreement with those suggested by the univers ality hypothesis.
