Abstract
Comparison of the EPR spectra of a self-complementary oligonucleotide (24-mer) containing either thymidine or [6-H-2(1)]thymidine residues f ollowing irradiation in frozen aqueous LiCl matrices allows the unambi guous analysis of the radical anion population in model DNA systems; t hese studies show that C-.- (1):T-.- (2) is 85:15.
