Abstract
We consider the a(1)(1260) contribution to photon and dilepton product ions from hot hadronic matter. The effective Lagrangian with pi, rho, and a(1) discussed by Ko and Rudaz is employed, which successfully rep roduces the Gamma(a(1)-->pi gamma)=670 keV. Our results for the photon production rate are comparable to those obtained by Xiong, Shuryak, a nd Brown, while the dilepton production rates come out smaller than th ose obtained by Song, Ko, and Gale by an order of magnitude.
