Abstract
Photoemission spectra from thin films of KxC60 prepared by vapor-phase reaction of C60 with K vapor consist of superpositions of distinct bu lk and surface contributions. The spectra of K3C60 and K6C60 are ident ified and shown to be in very good agreement with band-structure calcu lations. The surface layer of molecules does not contribute to the met allic conductivity for any bulk composition.
