Abstract
In the course of a six-year field research on acid rain simulation, tw o experimental series on the rate of organic matter decomposition were carried out. During both series an inhibition of the mineralization p rocess was observed. In the second series, after five years' soil trea tment, the inhibition amounted to 27% after one year's exposure of the material in the soil.
