We observe giant oscillations in the Hall resistivity of a semimetalli
c superlattice of InAs/GaSb, with almost equal electron and hole densi
ties. A thermally activated zero is observed in the Hall resistivity w
hen the Fermi energy lies within the localized states for electrons an
d holes with the same Landau index. This is interpreted as the balanci
ng of the electron and hole contributions, and depends critically on t
he limiting behavior of the conductivity components as they approach q
uantized values.
