K. Nakano et al., REVERSIBLE LAYER SLIDING IN CHOLIC-ACID CRYSTALS, Molecular crystals and liquid crystals science and technology. Section A, Molecular crystals and liquid crystals, 276, 1996, pp. 129-132
Cholic acid forms inclusion crystals with guest-dependent bilayered st
ructures. Heat treatment induced a sliding of the bilayers accompanied
by release of guests. The opposite sliding occurred by soaking the cr
ystals into liquid guests.
