Solid state NMR measurements are carried out for polymorph and inclusi
on complexes of s(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-(3-nitrophenyl)-1H-imidazole. Obs
erved C-13 and N-15 chemical shifts are characteristic of each polymor
ph A, B, C and D. In addition, N-15 chemical shift was a good index fo
r understanding hydrogen bond. VT measurements revealed that B transfo
rms to C between 93 and 113 degrees C. From PSTMAS and H-1 solid echo
measurements for AcOET inclusion complex, host molecules have almost s
ame structure as B and guest molecules have the highest mobility of al
l inclusion complexes.
